Conference GPS-RTK

The Conference entitled "GPS-RTK: a real-time positioning service in Friuli Venezia Giulia" will be held in Venzone (Palazzo del Municipio) on October 18, 2011. The conference is organised by OGS, the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics, together with the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia. The conference will address the satellite positioning systems (GPS, GLONASS and others) and real-time positioning services, with emphasis on innovative applications to geodesy and cartography, as well as some recent technical improvements. An invited talk will be given by the GPS specialist Professor Michael Bevis.

The program includes a final discussion as well as a technical-practical session where participants can directly test the available services. Finally, a guided tour through the historical town of Venzone will be organized, in collaboration with the Pro Loco Venzone agency.
