  • Determination of microbial abundances in epifluorescence microscopy (viruses and prokaryotes);
  • Determination of highly active and non active or dead prokaryotic fractions at the given moment by means of incubation methods;
  • Exoenzymatic prokryotic activity by means of fluorogenic substrates;
  • Prokaryotic secondary production by use of radiactive label (3H-TdR);
  • Viral production (different protocols);
  • Bacteriological analyses (total coliforms, fecal coliforms, Streptococco, Salmonella...) in water, sediments and edibile mussels;
  • Labile organic matter quantification (proteins, lipids and carbohydrates) by use of spectrofluorimetry.
