Skills & Interests: 

Sedimentology of marine and continental successions. Facies analysis at outcrop and with core data; sedimentary processes; reconstruction of depositional environments.

Sequence stratigraphy. Analysis and correlation of stratal surfaces; study of depositional sequences; high-frequency cyclicity; sequence-stratigraphic models; terminology.

Relationships between tectonics and sedimentation. Study of tectonically-controlled basins and of the response of combined tectonics and eustasy.

Geological survey. Neogene and Quaternary successions.

Interpretation of seismic profiles. Boomer, chirp and seismic data; correlation with well data.

OGS-INGV-DPC (2014-2015). OGS-C.R.S. (2014). Rilievo sismico a riflessione monocanale shallow water Boomer ad alta risoluzione (VHR) in Laguna di Venezia (isole di Lido e di Pellestrina). Recognition of seismic anomalies related to the presence of archeological and war targets along the route of the Electric Ring of Interconnection.

OGS-ANAV (2013-2014). Engineering services for fault capability evaluation at Vandellos Nuclear Power Plant – Spain. Identification of the potential presence of two active faults within the area of ​​Vandellos NPP.

OGS-CNR (2013-2014). OGS-E.ON (2013). Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is a natural gas pipeline project. The pipeline will start in Greece, cross Albania and the Adriatic Sea and come ashore in southern Italy, allowing gas to flow directly from the Caspian region to European markets.

OGS-ISPRA (2002-2013). CARG project (Italian Geological Cartography). The project is aimed to produce the new official geological sheets (554-Crucoli, 562-Cirò, 571-Crotone, 577-Isola di capo Rizzuto) of Calabria (southern Italy). Position in the project: Director for the geological survey (sheets 571 and 577), sedimentologist and sequence stratigrapher (sheets 562, 571 and 577), interpreter of offshore geophysical data (sheets 554, 562, 571 and 577).
