Coastal radar high-frequency (HF)

The study and monitoring of the surface circulation is carried out both in the northern Adriatic in the Mediterranean, through the use of coastal radar high-frequency (HF), which, in addition to identifying the temporal and spatial scales of the flow field and surface wave, enable identifying the presence of circulatory mesoscale structures, such as "eddies" or fronts that might facilitate or inhibit the mixing of water masses, and therefore may have an impact on biological activities and fishing.
