Milena Menna

Milena Menna earned her PhD degree in Science and Engineering of the Sea at University of Naples Federico II, in 2008. She has been working at OGS since 2008, where she holds a research position since 2012. She is currently responsible of the OGS Mediterranean drifter database.

Her research interests include the study of ocean circulation, mesoscale and sub-basin scale eddies, currents and water mass properties in semi-enclosed seas and polar regions, remote sensing (satellites) and autonomous measurement instruments (drifter and floats). She is author and of more than thirty papers in peer-reviewed journals on ocean and environmental sciences and of a book chapter. She is Review Editor for Frontiers in Marine Science journal and Guest Editor for Remote Sensing (MDPI) journal.
